Good effort
Unlike most racing games, in Carmageddon, it is not necessary to be the first to cross the finish line. You can, for example, also eliminate your opponents to win a race. Additionally, there are pedestrians and animals everywhere that you can run over or electrocute with special powers like electricity. For this, you earn extra points and can also win the race.
The game caused a lot of controversy at the time due to the gruesome acts that take place in it.
Unfortunately, the Carmageddon 64 has very poor controls, making the game not very enjoyable to play on this console.
I would personally recommend the PC version instead.

Poorly bloodthirsty N64 game.
Carmageddon 64 is one of the worst games for the N64. The objective of the game is to drive races and destroy each other by crashing into one another. The concept seemed innovative, but the game is practically unplayable due to poor controls, a bad soundtrack, ugly graphics...

So, you really shouldn't buy this game for a fun gaming experience. If you're a true collector, it might be fun to have one of the worst games available for the N64.

Very poor port of what used to be such a cool game!
Back in the day, I used to play Carmageddon on the PC, and what a cool game it was! A racing game where you had to run over people for bonus points. With gruesome vehicles to choose from, it was really a hit.

And then came the N64 version of Carmageddon, what a disaster of a game. Truly a very poor cash grab attempt. Heavily censored, now you had to run over zombies instead of people.

The graphics are a joke and not worthy of the Nintendo 64. The levels you can choose from: Beaver City, Beaver Country Quarry, and Beaver City again? What is this.....

By the way, this game was also released by Titus, just like Superman 64, says enough, right?

The controls are so weird, you can't even make a turn but you can drive up walls... The camera work is a mess, swinging from left to right. And the so-called power-ups are truly a big joke!

Not recommended, unfortunately...
