Not the best, but still enjoyable.
Roadsters isn't the best racing game I've ever played, nor the most beautiful or the most original, but nevertheless, there's not a whole lot wrong with it. Just a solid racer, worth picking up if you can.

Very fun racing game
Roadsters is a very enjoyable racing game for the N64. Many fun 'roadsters', very enjoyable varied levels, and amusing drivers. Additionally, there are many fun 'cheats' to make it even more enjoyable.
So, if you're looking for a good racing game for the N64, definitely give this game a chance!

Erratic controls and repetitive career structure in Roadsters
When I played Roadsters for the Nintendo 64, I noticed that this racing game primarily focuses on thrilling street races with sports cars. At first glance, it seems promising, but it doesn't quite live up to those promises. The graphical style is quite decent for the time the game was released. The cars and environments are reasonably detailed, but they don't reach the top level of competitors like Mario Kart 64 or F-Zero X. As a result, the visual presentation sometimes feels a bit dated.

While playing, I discovered that the controls of the cars can be quite erratic. Some cars respond tightly and precisely, while others feel sluggish or inaccurate. This makes the racing experience somewhat unpredictable and unbalanced at times. Nevertheless, Roadsters has something unique to offer: a career structure. You can earn money and then buy or upgrade new cars. This was fairly unusual at the time on the Nintendo 64 and adds an extra dimension to the game.

Unfortunately, this system quickly becomes repetitive due to the lack of variation in tracks and opponents. After a while, it feels like you're stuck in an endless loop of similar races, without really being surprised by new challenges. All in all, Roadsters for the Nintendo 64 is a decent attempt within the racing genre, but it lacks the shine and variety of some of its stronger competitors on the platform. Still, it's a fun option for those looking for something different from the usual racing games.
